Co-Design quantum simulation of nanoscale NMR

Quantum computers have the potential to efficiently simulate dynamics of nanoscale NMR systems. In this work, we demonstrate that a noisy intermediate-scale quantum computer can be used and predict resonances. order minimize required gate fidelities, propose superconducting application-specific Co-Design processor reduces number SWAP gates by over 90% for chips with more than 20 qubits. The consists transmon qubits capacitively coupled via tunable couplers central co-planar waveguide resonator circuit refrigerator (QCR) fast reset. QCR implements nonunitary operations nuclear hyperpolarization scenarios.

Fully 2D quantum-mechanical simulation of nanoscale MOSFETs

We present results of fully 2D quantum-mechanical (QM) simulations of nanoscale MOSFET's. The validity of semiclassical transport models are first discussed. Then, QM effects on threshold voltage, subthreshold slope and short-channel performances are addressed. We show that QM effects significantly affect device performances in the nanoscale range.
